Manage your profile and account settings

Set your timezone and lead names, verify your email, change your password, see support visits, and find which Settings screen holds the rest.

Updated 4 min read

Settings is split by what a setting belongs to: you, the workspace, or the plan. This page covers the personal settings on Profile and maps where everything else lives.

The settings screens

Settings, the last row of the Setup group in the app’s sidebar, swaps the page groups for these sections. On a phone, open More, then Settings, and pick a section from the strip under the top bar. Screens you cannot use are hidden. For the rest of the app’s layout, see find your way around.

GroupScreenPathWhat lives there
PersonalProfile/settings/profileTimezone, lead names, email verification, password, support visits
PersonalNotifications/settings/notificationsDigest schedule, update types, agent mutes. See notifications and the email digest
WorkspaceAccount/settings/accountWorkspace name and setup, lookback window, weekly report, Danger zone. See workspace settings
WorkspaceBlocklist/settings/blocklistCompanies kept out of your leads. See block a company
WorkspaceTeam/settings/teamMembers and invitations, Growth and above. See invite your team
WorkspaceClients/settings/clientsAgency portfolios only
WorkspaceContent/settings/contentYour outreach voice, which shapes DM drafts
WorkspaceDeveloper/developer/webhooksWebhooks and connected apps; administrators only
PlanBilling/settings/billingPlan, trial, payment method, invoices, cancellation; account owner only

Most screens open with one line that sums them up, such as “2 companies blocked” on Blocklist or “Set up for just you” on Account. Switches, choices, and dropdowns save the moment you change them: the top bar shows Saving, then Saved, and a failed save puts the setting back with an error. Text fields, such as the account name, show Save changes and Cancel once you edit them.

Set your timezone and lead names

Both sit on the Preferences card on Settings, then Profile, on the left of the page. Each saves the moment you change it.

  1. Pick your timezone

Timezone is used for scheduling and for displaying dates. Your digest time is read in it, so set it before you pick a digest slot.

  2. Choose how lead names appear

Turn on Show first and last name separately to add First name and Last name columns to every lead table and to CSV exports. Each table can still turn those columns on or off from its Columns menu.

Verify your email

Until your address is verified, Profile shows “Verify your email to unlock all features” with a Resend email button. Digest email only goes to verified addresses. You can dismiss the notice for the rest of the browser session; it returns on your next visit until you verify.

Change your password

The Change password card sits beside Preferences on Profile, or below it on a narrow screen.

  1. Enter your current password

Embers checks it first and answers “Current password is incorrect.” if it does not match.

  2. Choose a new password

At least 8 characters. Embers also refuses passwords that are too common, entirely numeric, or too close to your name or email. Both new password fields have a show and hide control.

  3. Confirm it and choose Update password

The form flags “Passwords do not match” before it submits. You stay signed in after the change.

If you cannot sign in at all, reset your password from the link on the sign-in screen instead. The reset email arrives only if an account exists for that address.

See when support looked at your account

The Support visits card sits under Change password on Profile. It lists each time the Embers team looked at your account, or at a workspace you own, in the last 90 days, newest first, and what they changed for you, such as “Extended your trial”. Looks within half an hour of each other count as one visit, for example “Looked at your account and Northwind (leads, ICP)”.

The team looks read-only, to help you or to fix a problem you report or that they spot. They never ask for your password and cannot sign in as you. With no visits, the card says No visits. Teammates see visits to their own account; visits to a workspace show to its owner.

Get help

The ? button in the bottom-right corner of every page has Share feedback for bugs and ideas and Chat with us for the support chat. On a tablet or computer, Ask a human and Book a call at the foot of the sidebar reach the Embers team directly. See get help from any page. Anything else goes to viraj@useembers.com.

Frequently asked questions

Am I signed out after changing my password?
No. You stay signed in after the change.
Why can I not see the Billing tab?
Billing is visible to the account owner only. Ask the owner to make the change or send you the invoice you need.
Does my timezone change anything for my teammates?
No. Timezone, lead name format, and notification settings are personal. Changing yours never changes theirs.
Can the Embers team see my account?
Yes, read-only, to help you or to fix a problem. They never ask for your password and cannot sign in as you. Each visit shows under Support visits on Profile for 90 days.
