What does "this week" mean exactly?

The last seven days, counted from midnight in the account owner's timezone. The comparison period is the seven days before that.

Why do the cards not add up to my total lead count?

They count different things over different periods. Total Tracked is every scored engager; the rest are windows or thresholds cut out of it.

Reading the dashboard

What every number on the Embers dashboard counts, which period it covers, and how to read the deltas without drawing the wrong conclusion.

The dashboard is the workspace summary, not a report. It covers the whole workspace. Every number on it excludes you, your teammates, employees of the profiles on your watchlist, and anyone at a blocked company, so it counts prospects only.

The period

“This week” means the last seven days, counted from midnight in the account owner’s timezone. Where a card shows a percentage next to the number, that is the change against the seven days before that, and it is a plain percentage change, so a small base makes it swing hard. Two cards have no delta because they are not week-shaped.

The summary cards

Watchlist Engagers only appears once you have a watchlist agent producing data. Every card is a link into the leads list with the matching filter already applied, so the fastest way to check a number is to click it.

The rest of the screen

Score distribution. How many leads sit in each band of 20 points, from 0 to 100. Clicking a bar opens the leads list filtered to that minimum score. A distribution with a heavy left side and nothing above 60 means either the ICP is too narrow or the engagement is too thin. See How scoring works.
Top Post This Week. Your post with the most engagement from people who matched your ICP, with the ICP count shown next to the total. It is chosen by ICP engagement, not by raw volume, so a viral post that pulled the wrong crowd will not win.
Top performing comments. Your five most engaged comments over the last 30 days, a longer window than the cards above it, matching the Comments page.
Going cold. A banner counting leads whose trend turned to cooling, linking to that tab. It is hidden when the count is zero.
Recent leads. The newest scored leads, with the same filters as the main list. On Free this table shows three rows and blurs the rest.

The strip along the top of the screen carries the operational state rather than the numbers: when the last scan ran, how many agents you have and whether any need attention, your total lead count, how many are new this week, and how many are going cold.

Reading it honestly

A few traps to avoid:

Total Tracked always rises. It is a cumulative count of everyone ever scored, so growth in it is not evidence that anything is working. Hot Leads is the number that can go down.
A big New Engagers week is not a big pipeline week. New engagers arrive unclassified, and unclassified leads take a confidence discount until the next classification pass runs.
Deltas on small numbers lie. Going from two to three warm leads is a fifty percent rise and means nothing.
A scan happens roughly every 24 hours. Anything that happened on LinkedIn since the last scan is not on this screen yet. Check the last scan time in the strip before concluding a quiet week.
