> Build a frozen snapshot of a reporting period, share it as a public link or a PDF, and see what each section of the report contains.

A client report turns one reporting period into a page you can hand to someone who does not have an Embers login. The data is frozen at generation time, so the numbers you sent last month still say what they said last month.

> **Warning: Solo and above**
>
> Reports require Solo or above. White-label branding and the scheduled weekly report are Growth and above; client-level reporting across several workspaces is the Agency plan.

## Generate a report

### Open Reports

Go to **Reports** in the app and choose **Generate Report**. Pressing `n` on the reports list opens the same dialog.

### Title it

The title is optional. Leave it blank and Embers generates one, or type something a client will recognise, such as "May 2026 LinkedIn Report".

### Pick a date range

Choose last 7, 14, 30, or 90 days, this month, last month, or a custom start and end date. Boundaries resolve in the account owner's timezone.

### Generate

Confirm. Embers builds the snapshot from every active agent and the report moves from generating to ready.

## What the report contains

The snapshot is assembled from the leads, engagements, and posts inside the date range:

- **Summary metrics.** Total engagements, unique engagers, ICP engagements and engagers, ICP match rate, total posts, and average engagement per post. Total engagements and unique engagers are compared against the previous period of the same length.
- **Engagement trend.** A day by day breakdown of total and ICP engagement, capped at 90 days.
- **Engagement composition.** A count per engagement type, largest first.
- **Top Warm Leads.** The 10 highest scoring engagers in the period, each with headline, company, score, ICP verdict, trend, top signals, and engagement count.
- **Post Performance Detail.** The five posts with the most engagement, with a content snippet and their performance metrics.
- **Repeat Engagers.** Up to 10 people who engaged with two or more distinct posts, ordered by how many.
- **Comments.** Your own comments that pulled in the most engagement, plus a Comment Agent block covering engagement on comments you left on other people's posts.
- **Competitor and keyword blocks.** Present only when the watchlist or keyword tracking agents are running for that account.

The report header carries the workspace's branding and display information.

## Sharing

Every report gets its own share token when it is created.

- **Share link.** Use **Share** on the reports list, or **Copy share link** in the row menu. The link opens a public page at `/r/<token>` that needs no login. Embers counts views and records when it was last opened.
- **PDF.** Open the report and use the export action. Embers renders the share page and returns a PDF with an Embers footer. If rendering is unavailable, it falls back and asks you to print the page from your browser instead.
- **Regenerate.** Rebuilds the snapshot against the same date range, for when a scan landed after you generated.

Deleting a report removes it from the list and the share link stops working, so rotate a link by deleting the report rather than editing it.

> **Note: White-label reports are Growth and above**
>
> On Growth, Enterprise, and Agency you can set a brand name, a logo, and an accent colour for a workspace, and client workspaces inherit the agency's branding when their own is empty. The same plans unlock a scheduled weekly report per workspace, generated once per week on the weekday you choose. Both live with the [agency workspace settings](/help/reports-and-workspaces/agency-workspaces-and-client-feeds/).

## Troubleshooting

- **The report is thin or empty.** The date range covers a period with little activity, or the agents had not run yet. Check the range and regenerate.
- **A lead you expected is missing.** Top Warm Leads is capped at 10 and ordered by score. Repeat Engagers only includes people who engaged with two or more distinct posts.
- **The PDF did not download.** Embers returned the browser-print fallback. Open the share page and print to PDF from the browser.

## Frequently asked questions

**Does a shared report keep updating?**

No. The snapshot is frozen when the report is generated. Use Regenerate to rebuild it against the same date range.

**Does the person opening the link need an Embers account?**

No. The share page is public and needs no login. Anyone with the link can open it.
