Generate and share a client report

Freeze a reporting period into a report, share it as a public link or a PDF, and see what each section of the report counts.

Solo and above Updated 3 min read

A client report freezes one reporting period into a page you can send to someone without an Embers login. The numbers are fixed when you generate it, so last month’s report still says what it said last month.

Generate and share a report

  1. Open Reports

Reports is not in the sidebar. Open the command palette with ⌘ K (Ctrl K on Windows) and choose Reports, press g then r, or go to /reports.

  2. Start a report

Choose Generate report, or press n on the reports list.

  3. Name it and pick a date range

Report Title is optional. Leave it blank and Embers names it, for example “LinkedIn Report - Last 30 Days”. For Date Range, pick last 7, 14, 30, or 90 days, this month, last month, or a custom start and end date. Dates resolve in the account owner’s timezone.

  4. Generate the snapshot

Choose Generate. The snapshot usually takes a few seconds, and the row moves from generating to ready.

  5. Share it

Share on the list, or Copy Share Link inside the report, copies a public link at /r/<token> on the app. Export PDF downloads a PDF.

What the report contains

The header shows your primary Own profile, the title, and the dates. Below it, every section counts activity inside the date range:

  • Summary metrics. Total engagements, unique engagers, ICP-matched engagers, ICP match rate, posts, and average engagement per post. Total engagements and unique engagers are compared with the previous period of the same length.
  • Pipeline outcomes. Leads contacted, replies, meetings, opportunities, and customers recorded in the period, with deal values and a split by the signal source that found each lead.
  • Your comments. Engagement on the comments you left on other people’s posts, when Embers has read your comments in the period.
  • Engagement trend and composition. A daily chart of total and ICP engagement (up to 90 days), and a count per engagement type.
  • Top Warm Leads. Up to 10 ICP-matched people who engaged in the period, ranked by lead score, with headline, company, trend, and top signals.
  • Repeat engagers. Up to 10 people who engaged with two or more of your posts or comments.
  • Post Performance Detail. Your five posts with the most engagement.
  • Comments. Your five comments that pulled in the most engagement.
  • Watchlist Engagement and Keyword Signals. Shown only when watched profiles or keyword tracking are running for the workspace.

The report shows your own profile, not an agency brand. The PDF carries the Embers logo at the top and a “Generated by Embers” footer.

What happens after you share it

  • Views are counted. The reports list shows each report’s view count. The first time someone opens the link, Embers emails the account owner.
  • Regenerate rebuilds the snapshot for the same dates, for when a scan landed after you generated. The link does not change.
  • PDF fallback. When the PDF renderer is unavailable, Embers opens your browser’s print dialog instead. Print to PDF from there.
  • Delete removes the report and the link stops working at once. To revoke a link, delete the report and generate a new one.
  • Webhooks. Generating or regenerating a report sends a report.generated event to your webhook endpoints. See the webhook event types.

On the Agency plan, a client workspace can also generate a report automatically every week covering the last seven days, and share a live lead page alongside it. See run client workspaces on the Agency plan and share a branded lead feed with a client.

Troubleshooting

  • The report is thin or empty. The date range covers a quiet period, or your agents had not scanned yet. Check the range on the Dashboard and regenerate.
  • A lead you expected is missing from Top Warm Leads. The section only lists ICP-matched people who engaged inside the range, and stops at 10. Correct the ICP match if Embers got the fit wrong, then regenerate.
  • The report shows Failed. The snapshot could not be built. Generate a new one.
  • The PDF did not download. Embers fell back to the print dialog. Print to PDF from the browser.

Frequently asked questions

Does a shared report keep updating?
No. The data is frozen when the report is generated. Regenerate rebuilds it for the same dates, and the link stays the same.
Does the person opening the link need an Embers account?
No. The share page is public. Anyone with the link can open it and export it as a PDF.
Can I put my own logo on a report?
Not today. Reports show your own profile and carry Embers marks in the PDF. Agency branding applies to the shared lead page and the weekly report's title.
