Qualify the engagers on any LinkedIn post
Paste any public LinkedIn post and Embers reads everyone who reacted or commented, matches them to your ICP, and adds them as leads. Solo and above.
Qualify a post reads the engagers on one LinkedIn post you pick, anyone’s post, not just the profiles you watch. Embers collects everyone who reacted or commented, matches them against your ideal customer profile, and adds them to your leads. Use it for a viral post in your niche, a competitor’s launch, or an event recap.
Qualify a post
-
Copy the post's link
On LinkedIn, open the post’s menu and copy its link. Both
linkedin.com/posts/...-activity-...andlinkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:...work. Articles (/pulse/) do not. -
Open Qualify a post
From Watchlist (
/watchlist), choose Add monitor and set the monitor type to LinkedIn post. Or open Qualify Post (/qualify-post) from the command palette and choose Qualify a post. The page is not in the sidebar; see pages the sidebar does not list. -
Paste the link and submit
Paste it under LinkedIn post URL. A valid link shows “Valid LinkedIn post URL” and the post’s activity number. Choose Qualify post (or Start monitoring on the Watchlist). The meter shows Posts this cycle, for example “3 of 20 this cycle”, and the date it resets.
-
Wait for the result
The post moves through Queued, Fetching, Matching, and Completed. The progress steps read Fetching post, Collecting engagers, Matching buyers, and Ranking.
What Embers reads
For the post you paste, Embers collects up to 500 reactions and 500 comments, deeper than the recurring agents read. It skips the post’s author, you, people at your own company, and companies on your blocklist. Comments are classified for intent, the post for topic, and everyone is matched against your ICP, enriched, and scored like any other lead.
Private or deleted posts cannot be read, and the run fails. Reposts of the post are not collected.
Each engager Embers reads counts toward the trial’s 2,000 engager cap, the same as engagers found by an agent. See what counts as an engager.
What happens to the engagers
The engagers become ordinary leads with the source Qualified post. There is no separate “add to leads” step.
- In the app. They appear on the leads list, filterable by the Qualified post source, and strong ones can reach the Priority Queue. The post itself appears on the Posts page under Qualified and on the Watchlist under Posts.
- Notifications. A lead that came only from a qualified post does not trigger lead notifications. If the same person also engages with a source you watch, they notify through that source.
- Destinations. Delivery rules can include or leave out the Qualified post source per destination.
The post’s author is not added to your Watchlist. To follow their future posts, watch the profile.
Read the result
A completed post shows its card with the author and the post, then its engagers in the same columns as the leads list: Lead, ICP match, Latest, and Status. The table starts on ICP only; switch to All engagers to see everyone, and filter by engagement type such as Comments or Likes. Selecting a row opens the lead.
The card has Refresh (read the post again for new engagers, without using a slot), Retry on a failed post (uses a slot), and Delete.
Past posts lists up to 20 of the workspace’s qualified posts, newest first, each with its status and “ICP · engagers” counts. Deleting one asks “Remove this qualified post?” The post leaves the list, existing leads keep their attribution, and the slot is not refunded.
Troubleshooting
- “Enter a LinkedIn post URL (posts/…activity-… or feed/update/urn:li:activity:…).” The link is a profile, an article, or a shortened link. Copy the post’s own link from its menu.
- “Cycle limit reached.” The workspace used its 20 posts this cycle. The limit resets with your billing period, or on the first of the month without a subscription. Failed posts do not count.
- “Could not qualify this post.” The post is private, deleted, or LinkedIn could not read it. Choose Retry once; if it fails again, the post is not public.
- Completed, but “No engagers yet”. Matching can finish after the fetch. Wait a minute, then switch to All engagers. If only ICP matches are missing, the engagers were not your buyers; see no leads in your queue yet.
- “This post is still being processed.” You chose Refresh before the first read finished. Wait for Completed.

Frequently asked questions
- Does qualifying the same post twice use two of my 20?
- No. Pasting a post that is already qualified in the workspace opens the existing result and uses no quota. Refresh re-reads a completed post without using a slot.
- Does a failed post count against my limit?
- No. A post that fails gives its slot back. A post you delete still counts for the cycle.
- Does Embers keep watching the post after it is qualified?
- No. Qualifying is a one-off read. Choose Refresh to read it again, or watch the author on the Watchlist to follow their future posts.
