Reset your password

  1. On the sign-in page choose Forgot password?, enter your email, and choose Send Reset Link. The page always confirms with Check your email, whether or not an account exists, so a missing email can also mean a typo in the address.

  2. Open the newest email

Use the link from the most recent reset email. If nothing arrives within a few minutes, work through missing Embers emails.

  3. Set a new password

Choose a password of at least 8 characters, confirm it, and choose Reset Password. Invalid reset link with This password reset link is invalid or has expired means the link was already used or is too old: choose Request New Reset Link and start again.

To change a password you already know, use Settings, then Profile instead. See change your password.

Verify your email address

Embers emails a verification link when you sign up, and the link lasts one day. Accounts created with Google are already verified.

  • This verification link is invalid or has expired. Request a new one below. Choose Send a new verification link on the same page.
  • No verification token found. Please use the link from your email. The link is incomplete. Copy the whole link from the email into the address bar.
  • The link never arrived. Open Settings, then Profile (/settings/profile). While your address waits for its link, a notice reads Verify your email to unlock all features with a Resend email button.

Sign up errors

  • An account with this email already exists. Please sign in instead. Sign in, or reset the password if you have forgotten it.
  • Password must be at least 8 characters Choose a longer password.

If you were invited to someone else’s workspace, sign in with the address the invitation was sent to. See join a workspace.

Troubleshooting

  • The reset link fails straight away. A reset link works once, and stops working after your password changes. Request a new one and use it right away.
  • You can sign in, but the workspace you expected is missing. You signed in with a different address than the one that owns or joined it. Sign out and sign in with the other address.
  • Nothing here matches. Check the frequently asked questions, then email viraj@useembers.com with the address you sign in with and the exact message.
