Act on suggestions for what to watch next
Every week, or every 3 days on the free trial, Embers suggests pages to watch, keywords, ICP fixes, and what to stop. How to review, approve and undo them.
From what your agents found, Embers suggests people and pages to watch, keywords to track, and fixes to your ICP. It also points out watched pages and keywords that stopped finding buyers. You approve the ones that fit.
Review your suggestions
-
Open the Dashboard or Agents
When a batch has something in it, a banner under the greeting on the dashboard says how many there are, for example “3 suggestions this week”. On Agents (
/agents), the Suggestions card shows up to three, pages and keywords to stop first. -
Open the Suggestions sheet
Choose Review on the banner, or Review all on the card when more than three are open. The sheet groups the batch as Pages to watch, Pages to stop watching, Keywords, Keywords to stop tracking, and Your ICP. Each suggestion says why it was picked and what approving uses or frees, such as “Uses one of your 10 watched-profile slots (2 in use).”
-
Approve or skip each one
Approve the ones that fit, or choose Not now to skip one for a month. Each answer turns the row into what it did, such as “Stopped watching Growth Loop Weekly”, with Undo.
The cross on the banner hides it from the Dashboard until the next batch. The suggestions stay on Agents.
Approve suggestions where you add pages
Suggested for you shows open suggestions under the field where you add pages by hand: pages to watch and keywords in setup’s Monitors step, and pages to watch in New agent’s Watch a profile step and in Add monitor on the Watchlist. A few show at first, then Show 2 more (the count left). It does not show on Free.
What a batch suggests
Embers works from what your workspace holds. On Solo and above it also runs a few LinkedIn lookups, at its own cost.
- Pages to watch. Up to three per batch: people and pages that your watchlist profiles, or you, commented on at least twice in the last 60 days; people who post as one of your ICP’s first three job titles, with 20 or more reactions on a post this week, searched within your ICP’s industries that match LinkedIn’s own industry names (every industry when none does); and company pages LinkedIn lists next to one you watch. The last two show only after the audience check below.
- Keywords. Up to three per batch. See keyword tracking for what a keyword finds.
- From what your leads wrote comes first: phrases from public comments your ICP leads left on your posts and your watched pages’ posts in the last 60 days. AI spots candidates; Embers keeps a phrase only if at least two leads wrote it word for word.
- From your ICP: buying signals in your ICP that no keyword tracks yet.
- Every suggested keyword is a phrase of 2 to 6 words. Single words, a competitor’s name, your own company’s name, and your own product category are left out: they find vendors posting about their products, not buyers.
- Embers searches each keyword before suggesting it and keeps it only if the newest posts include at least one from a possible buyer, judged by the same relevance check keyword runs use. The suggestion says how many of the newest posts were.
- ICP fixes. Up to two per batch:
- a value your ICP both wants and excludes. Exclusion wins, so those leads are dropped while your ICP says they fit;
- an industry you keep marking Not a lead: three or more people from it in 180 days, none marked a fit and none who replied (such as Staffing & HR). The reason says how many of your current leads are in it;
- an industry whose leads reply: three or more people from it who replied, booked a call, or became a customer in the last year. Suggested only when your ICP already lists industries.
- Pages to stop watching. Up to two per batch: a profile or page watched for 21 days or more with no posts in 30 days, or one watched for 30 days or more whose posts drew 50 or more people in 30 days, none of them an ICP fit. Never your own profile.
- Keywords to stop tracking. Up to three per batch: a keyword tracked for 14 days or more with no posts from buyers in 30 days, counting only posts that pass the relevance check.
Embers flags a page or keyword for having no posts only if it was scanned in the last 3 days, so a paused agent is not mistaken for a silent source. The rule runs again whenever your suggestions load, so a page that posts again, or a keyword that finds a buyer, drops out at once.
Reasons may be written with AI, never adding a number. Nothing is suggested to add for a full watchlist or keyword list.
How a page’s audience is checked
On Solo and above, the trial included, Embers checks up to four pages to watch per batch. It takes up to 100 people who commented on or reacted to the page’s most engaged post of the last month, leaving out the author, and judges their headlines against your ICP. For a company page it also leaves out anyone whose headline says “at” or ”@” followed by the page’s name, such as “Engineer at Acme”, since they work there. A page whose name is shorter than 4 characters or is one generic word is not matched this way, so its staff stay in the sample. It does the same for your best source: the profile or page you watch, other than your own profile, with the most ICP engagers in the last 30 days.
A checked page shows only when at least 5% of the people judged fit, and its share is no more than 8 percentage points below your best source’s. Without a best source, as during setup, only the 5% floor applies. A kept page carries the counts, such as “31 of 54 recent engagers fit your ICP · 34 of 63 for your best source”, and comes before pages that were not checked. Fewer than 20 people judged counts as unchecked.
What approving does
| You choose | Embers does |
|---|---|
| Watch profile or Watch page | Adds it to your watchlist, as Influencer for a person and Other for a page, and starts its first scan |
| Stop watching | Asks first, then takes it off your watchlist. Its leads keep their attribution |
| Track keyword | Adds the keyword. If you had no keyword agent, it creates one and starts it |
| Stop tracking | Removes the keyword. The leads it found stay |
| Keep it excluded | Takes the value out of the wanted list |
| Count it as a fit | Takes the value out of the excluded list |
| Exclude it | Adds the industry to Exclude industries and takes it out of Industries, under any name |
| Add it | Adds the industry to Industries and takes it out of Exclude industries, under any name |
| Not now | Hides the suggestion for 30 days |
Undo reverses exactly what an answer did. A stopped page comes back as the same entry, with its posts, engagers, and leads, and no new history scan. Its agent runs again, as a new one would, unless you had paused it or your plan cannot run agents. A stopped keyword comes back as the same keyword and picks up where it stopped, without searching the past month again. Both need a free slot.
An ICP fix saves your ICP, which rescores your leads, so approving another one waits a few minutes. An ICP fix can be undone from the sheet only while it is your latest ICP change; after that, use the ICP’s Change history.
A page or keyword you approve to add is never suggested again. One you stop is not suggested again for 90 days, to stop or to add back. Suggestions you did not answer are replaced by the next batch, and any that still apply come back.
How suggestions learn from your answers
- A source you keep refusing stops. After five answers to one source, such as your ICP’s buying signals, in 180 days with fewer than one in ten approved, Embers stops suggesting from it. Not now counts as a no; an unanswered suggestion does not count.
- What found leads comes first. Within each group, sources whose approved suggestions found more leads are listed first.
- What your approvals found. The bottom of the sheet says, for example, “Suggestions you approved have found 14 leads so far.” It counts people who became leads after you approved a page or keyword, for 30 days.
Troubleshooting
- There is no suggestions banner. The banner shows only when a batch has something in it, and a closed banner returns with the next batch. Free gets no batches.
- One kind of suggestion stopped appearing. You chose Not now for most of them. They return after 180 days.
- Stopping a page or keyword says there is nothing to remove. The page or keyword changed after the batch was made, so the row leaves. The toast, headed “Couldn’t stop watching Growth Loop Weekly”, gives the reason: “Growth Loop Weekly posted again, so there is nothing to remove.” for a page that posted, “Who engages with Growth Loop Weekly changed since this was suggested, so there is nothing to remove.” for a page whose audience changed, and “That keyword found posts from buyers again.” for a keyword. When the page or keyword was last scanned more than 3 days ago, for example because its agent is paused, the toast reads “This no longer applies, so there is nothing to remove.”
- An ICP fix says to try again in a few minutes. Your leads are being rescored.
- An ICP fix says a value cannot be saved. Your ICP has an empty value or one over 200 characters. Fix it on the ICP page, then try again.
- A suggestion’s button shows a lock. Your slots filled up after the batch was made, and the row says so, for example “Your 10 watched-profile slots are in use. Stop watching one, or upgrade, to add this.” Remove one, or change your plan.
- Undo says “Couldn’t undo it” and names your plan’s limit. A page or keyword you added since took the slot. Remove one, then choose Undo again.

Frequently asked questions
- Do suggestions cost anything or use credits?
- No. Every plan gets them. On Solo and above, Embers may run LinkedIn lookups to check a keyword or a page's audience, at its own cost. Approving a page or keyword uses one of your plan's slots, as adding it yourself does, and stopping one frees a slot.
- Can I get suggestions on Free or during the free trial?
- During the free trial, yes, every 3 days, so a second batch arrives before the trial ends. The trial runs on Solo, so it gets every kind. Free gets none, because each batch costs Embers AI calls and nothing that costs runs until a plan is paid.
- Does stopping a page or keyword delete its leads?
- No. The leads it found stay. Undo puts back the same page or keyword with its history.
- Why did a suggestion I ignored come back?
- Unanswered suggestions are replaced when the next batch arrives, and any that still apply are suggested again. Choose Not now to keep one away for a month.
- Does Embers learn from what I approve?
- Yes. A source you keep saying Not now to stops being suggested, and sources whose approved suggestions found more leads come first.
